We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Partnership Engagement and Growth Lead to join our team. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and securing strategic partnerships to expand awareness of Eargo hearing aids and support adoption via our growing insurance business. The ideal candidate will work closely with potential partners to educate their members/employees about hearing loss, hearing aids, and how Eargo can be accessed through their existing hearing aid benefits – ensuring that more individuals have access to our innovative hearing technology.

Responsibilities

    • Identify and assess potential partnership opportunities across a spectrum of large employers, unions, and brokers tied to carriers that Eargo is in-network with
    • Execute outreach including high-level discovery outbound calls and 1:1 email
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to augment your efforts over time
    • Manage ongoing partner relationships, including regular communication, reporting, and problem-solving, to ensure long-term success and satisfaction
    • Sales experience managing the entire relationship lifecycle (discovery, problem review, solution design, solution selling, tracking, etc.) for partners post-initial in-network contract
    • An intricate understanding of Payer organizations, both of the sales cycle and how a payer functions 
    • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in health plan benefits that could impact partnership opportunities or strategies
    • Measure and report on the effectiveness of partnership initiatives against defined metrics and objectives, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results, comfortable with sales targets
    • Account Planning Experience where you’ve proven to successfully activate accounts

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, MBA or advanced degree preferred
    • Minimum of 8 years' experience in partnership development, sales, business development, or similar roles, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry
    • Account Planning Experience where you’ve proven to successfully activate accounts 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong relationship building and counseling skills
    • Quickly able to embrace, learn, and apply changes and new procedures
    • Previous experience in consultative sales of a complex product is a plus
    • Experience working with health benefits or more broadly with insurance carriers is an asset
    • Experience with contact center phone systems and Salesforce CRM is a plus
    • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and secure strategic partnerships
    • Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and hearing aid market preferred
$130,000 - $150,000 a year
The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is listed above. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Eargo's compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Eargo utilizes the full width of the range.
