About the role:
The Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a critical role in guiding the financial strategy and decision-making processes of the organization. This position oversees financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business objectives and drive sustainable growth. The Director, FP&A collaborates with senior leadership to provide insights, recommendations, and actionable strategies based on rigorous financial analysis.
 
What you will do:
o Lead the development of annual operating budgets, long-term financial plans, and forecasts.
o Collaborate with department heads to understand business drivers and incorporate them into financial projections.
o Identify and analyze variances between actual performance and forecasts, providing explanations and recommendations to management.
o Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
o Provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making and drive performance improvements.
o Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to evaluate the potential impact of various business decisions.
o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance.
o Prepare and present regular financial reports and performance updates to senior management and the board of directors.
o Monitor industry trends and benchmarks to assess the company's competitive position and identify areas for improvement.
o Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and geographic expansion.
o Provide financial guidance and analysis for business case development, investment evaluations, and ROI assessments.
o Evaluate and recommend opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
o Identify and assess financial risks, including market volatility, regulatory changes, and liquidity constraints.
o Develop risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
o Lead a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to foster professional growth and development.
o Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the FP&A function.
o Recruit and retain top talent, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and capabilities to deliver on strategic objectives.
 
About you:
o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
o CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
o 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role.
o Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights.
o Proven track record of driving results, influencing decision-making, and partnering with senior leadership to achieve business objectives.
o Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead through change.
o Proficiency in financial systems and software, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and Excel.
