Job description:  
We are looking for a highly organized and driven individual to assist the premier private lender in Texas. You’ll get to work with a fun, fast-paced team in a vibrant downtown office.  

Responsibilities will be focused on internal financial procedures and upkeep of financial and licensing compliance. Accomplish all tasks required and seek to proactively and professionally add value for the Easy Street Capital debt platform. Below are some examples of the job responsibilities:  

Responsibilities

    • Management of company bank accounts and calculations including intercompany transfers and reconciliation of company accounts and commissions  
    • Maintain accurate accounting of all cash on hand as well as detailed records pertaining to cash transfers between accounts and wires to outside agencies  
    • Assist with payment to company vendors  
    • Calculation of interest collections  
    • Management of accounting software  
    • Management of private equity fund investor accounts and statements  
    • Provide support during company financial audits  
    • Prepare and review monthly accruals  
    • Prepare and maintain various reports for department and management use  
    • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
    • Maintain company licenses and documents  
    • Assist with diligence for creating and maintaining relationships with financial partners  
    • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure compliance issues are addressed, investigated, and resolved  
    • Manage third party relationships with other outside counsel on company matters as needed  
    • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to company policies, financial and marketing plans, and compliance data.
    • Assist and advise Company personnel, as necessary, to assure the successful compliance of internal controls and standard operating procedures.  
    • Review regulatory and compliance activities across multiple states and various loan product types  

Skills Desired

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required)  
    • 1 year experience in accounting or a related field (required)  
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills  
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (required)  
    • QuickBooks experience (preferred)  
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills  
    • Ability to read and analyze financial reports
    • Experience with mortgage compliance (preferred)  
    • Excellent judgment, analytical rigor, clear communication, and business pragmatism
