Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Senior Structural BIM Technicians to join our team in Egypt.
The ideal candidate must possess a background in consultancy engineering and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field. The Senior Structural BIM Technician is an integral part of the design team who manages a small team of BIM Technicians while assisting with Modeling and coordination. The process of generating digital models and integrated data is often referred to as Information about a project, from the Concept stage to the construction stage. The ideal candidate should have excellent experience in managing projects in Revit and be able to manage a team as well as be a great team player.
Duties and responsibilities
- Implement where needed 3rd party BIM applications including but not limited to Dynamo, Rhino/Grasshopper, Tekla, Excel as well as Microsoft Office.
- Facilitate the exchange and coordination of models with other disciplines, consultants, and contractors/fabricators.
- Revit content creation: Parametric families using formulae, nesting, and type catalogues.
- Help to create and maintain BIM Project Standards, Processes, and Goals.
- Taking responsibility for the model, drawing issues, and daily housekeeping in terms of managing our deliverables.
- Supervise the BIM modelers, collaborate, and coordinate with the Design/engineers team for any model challenges.
- Performing clash detection and resolution to minimize design conflicts and optimize project efficiency.
- Participating in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to address project-related issues.
- Providing guidance and assistance to team members on BIM processes, best practices, and software tools.
- Compile BIM Documentation and Reporting:
- Generating regular progress reports for project management and clients.
Qualifications & Skills
- A degree in Engineering, Architecture, Structural, or Construction Management or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage
- Excellent in BIM collaboration with project stakeholders using cloud platforms i.e., BIM 360
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Senior Structural BIM Technician
- Proficiency in writing and speaking English.
- It is preferable to pass one of the BIM works permit tests.
- Industry BIM Certification (Revit Professional)
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Be up to date often with the newly published research, tools, and software that are applicable to be used in the way to enhance any of the duties.
- Strong understanding of consultant engineering practices and standards.
- Experience in BS-EN-ISO-19650 BIM standards.
