The firm's core work is holistic at its approach, and it has divisions in structural, MEP, Geotechnical, and emerging construction technology such as 3D printing of concrete, technology, and 3D laser scanning.
Job Summary
We are seeking Structural BIM Technicians to join our team in Egypt.
The ideal candidate must possess a background in consultancy engineering and have a minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Structural BIM Technician. The structural BIM Technician is an integral part of the design team who assists in the process of generating digital models and integrated data often referred to as Information about a project, from the Concept stage to the construction stage.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the Project Delivery Team on a day-to-day basis for BIM implementation activities.
- Provide progress and performance updates on a weekly/ monthly basis.
- Record, store, and maintain all formal correspondence related to BIM activities.
- Ensure all received unapproved models by subcontractors are audited and exported using Revit as the local authoring tool.
- Ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards, requirements, and the BIM execution plan.
- Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain track of geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the Project's BIM requirements.
- Review, monitor, and report the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.
- Prepare discipline models and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
- Coordinate and review models using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
- Coordinate with subcontractors.
Qualifications & Skills
- A degree in Engineering, Structural, or Construction Management, or equivalent.
- knowledge and experience in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage.
- Good in BIM collaboration using cloud platform i.e., BIM 360.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Structural BIM Technician.
- Proficiency in writing and speaking English.
- It is preferable to pass one of the BIM works permit tests.
- Industry BIM Certification (Revit Professional).
- Good communication, and Teamwork Skills.
- Understanding of consultant engineering practices and standards.
- Experience in BS-EN-ISO-19650 BIM standards.
