e.construct designs structures such as bridges, high-rise design, commercial facilities design, precast concrete engineering, and post-tensioning design. We are a multi-disciplinary engineering design firm with specialized design and value engineering services. The firm's core work is holistic at its approach, and it has divisions in structural, MEP, Geotechnical, and emerging construction technology such as 3D printing of concrete, technology, and 3D laser scanning.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer – Structural with 7– 9 years of experience in structural design, including at least one year at e.construct, to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will independently handle structural analysis and design tasks, coordinate project deliverables across disciplines, and mentor junior staff. This role requires a solid theoretical background, practical experience, and the ability to manage project work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural designs in compliance with the latest international codes and company standards.
- Perform structural calculations and analysis using FEM software, spreadsheets, and manual methods.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and project schedules.
- Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines to ensure project integration and timely delivery.
- Produce high-quality structural drawings, sketches, and technical reports.
- Lead and guide drafting staff to deliver professional and precise project documentation.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and BIM team members.
- Oversee project deliverables, ensuring deadlines, quality, and compliance are met.
- Make independent technical decisions and solve complex engineering problems.
- Attend and represent the company in client and coordination meetings.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability of assigned project tasks.
- Ensure all work adheres to internal QA/QC procedures and client expectations.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- 7– 9 years of structural engineering experience in a consultancy environment.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, FEM tools).
- Strong foundation in engineering theory and its practical applications.
- Familiarity with major structural design codes and standards (e.g., ACI, Eurocode, British Standards).
- Experience preparing cost estimates, material take-offs, and project schedules.
- Ability to produce detailed structural drawings, sketches, and technical reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
- Highly organized with effective time and task management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical and business objectives.
