Position Summary – Assists Nitrogen Supervisor with all aspects of nitrogen operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilizes “STOP WORK AUTHORITY”
- Operates Nitrogen pumps and associated equipment with minimal supervision.
- Operates Nitrogen Transports with minimal supervision.
- Mobilizes equipment by driving Nitrogen pumps and transports (land operations only), or pickup trucks to the job location.
- Conducts the pre-job and post-job inspections and testing of the Nitrogen pumps, transports, and any other auxiliary equipment.
- Conducts the maintenance and general upkeep of the Nitrogen units and related equipment.
- Maintains a safe work area or job site by following the company's HSE and Standard Operating Procedures manuals.
- Monitors, inspects, and adjusts all major equipment during operations to ensure the equipment's adequate operation, such adjusting pump and injection rates.
- Trains and evaluates new operators on Nitrogen equipment operations and procedures.
- Delegates certain job tasks to junior operators during job operation.
- Writes accurate daily logs, pre- and post-job reports, JSA's and other documentation as required.
- Actively participates in JSA’s and safety meetings.
- Has read and understands the Gladiator SOP’s related to the Nitrogen service line.
- For land-based operations, drive and/or load DOT-regulated vehicles both in-state and between states carrying Gladiator Energy LLC property that is used in furtherance of Gladiator Energy LLC's business and which substantially affects safety in intrastate transportation.
- Trains and mentors Nitrogen operators and new employees on all aspects of the Nitrogen service line.
Prerequisites
- High school diploma/G.E. D (preferred) or equivalent.
- Valid Class A CDL (preferred), with hazardous material endorsement (Mandatory), Tanker Endorsement (Mandatory).
- TWIC card (Mandatory)
- Ability to work a "14 Days On 7 Days Off" schedule and remain fit for duty.
- Ability to meet all physical, language, mathematical and reasoning ability requirements of the Nitrogen Operator position.
- This position requires the employee to have completed a minimum of 6 months as a Nitrogen Pump Operator or equivalent.
