Position Overview:
This role is an entry-level position within Edison Energy’s Data & Settlement Services team. The primary goal for this team is to gain efficiencies through process development and standardization for client service delivery while maintaining the highest level of accuracy, timeliness and professionalism. This role will provide analytical support to natural gas and electricity energy managers in Edison’s Energy Supply Advisory service line.   

Key Responsibilities

    • Data Management & Maintenance
    • Retrieve and track energy meter reads, utility bills, customer production data, etc. 
    • Thoroughly analyze and validate key customer metrics across multiple data management systems to ensure accuracy and to identify trends and anomalies.  
    • Reporting
    • Cost and consumption, marked-to-market, budgets, unit cost, savings trackers, supplier summaries, missing invoices, etc.   
    • Invoice Audits & Rate Modeling 
    • Use technology to identify potential errors and/or anomalies and verify data entry accuracy 
    • When required, curate rate models for in-depth analysis 
    • Tariff Analysis
    • Evaluate feasibility to switch to a more favorable utility rate schedule, identify incentives and uncover opportunities to opt-in or opt-out of various charges 
    • Contract Management 
    • Carefully monitor for adherence to scope of work verification and reporting tasks for account deliverables 
    • Special projects and ad-hoc tasks   

Job Requirements:

    • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail 
    • Strong communicator, both in writing and in presentation skills 
    • Ability to adapt and respond in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy 
    • Ability to balance competing demands and priorities, while working independently and as a team 

Education Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Finance, Accounting, Sustainability or Engineering preferred) 
    • 1 – 4 years of professional work experience; work or internship at an end-user organization in a data analyst or procurement role, energy utility, energy supplier or energy consulting firm a plus 
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Salary Transparency:
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 annually plus ESPP and Bonus, subject to experience.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $55,000-$65,000 USD annually for Colorado, Washington, and New York City residents only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. 

Salary range represents the low and high end of Edison Energy's salary range for our Senior Project Engineer position. Salary is one part of Edison Energy's Total Compensation Package.
