Alfa Energy Group is an international sustainability and energy services consultancy based in London, with offices in Frankfurt and Sarajevo. The company has been successfully delivering energy cost management solutions to 1000s of clients across different countries since 1995. On the back of recent new client acquisitions, we are undergoing an expansion programme, and looking for an experienced professional to be join our team as a Energy Risk Manager.
Position Overview
This is a great opportunity for somebody who has industry knowledge and is looking be a part of established and reputable team. Core Responsibilities
- This role manages all aspects of the energy price risk relationship with existing large and multi-site clients.
- Developing and maintaining risk strategies for a portfolio of flexible energy clients.
- Prepare & deliver market analysis reports detailing recommendations.
- Trade execution of clients hedging requirements.
- Prepare & deliver reports outlining market development.
- Prepare & deliver reports outlining contract performance.
- Maintain and sustain relationships with supplier retail desks.
- Daily liaison with other members of the team to provide information and ensure that customers receive excellent customer service.
- Oversee and assist in the tendering of flexible energy contracting.
- Conduct regular commodity market update presentations.
- Provide written contributions for Daily, weekly, and monthly market publications.
- Ad-hoc requests.
Key Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years working in the UK energy space- Essential
- Experience in flexible purchasing and energy risk management - Essential
- Good understanding of both fundamental and technical analysis – Essential
- Strong organizational skills with a good level of computer literacy – Essential
- Knowledge of Industry software
- Excellent both written & verbal communication skills – Essential
