  • Some programs require access to Ethernet (not WIFI). Ethernet is a direct connection from your router to your device to ensure a stable, non-wireless connection. This can generally be achieved by plugging an Ethernet cable from your router to your computer. Thus, you would need to have access to your router in close proximity to your workspace. If you live in an apartment/dorm and possibly do not have a router, you can check for a direct Ethernet port in a wall. It looks similar to an outlet but does not have an outlet plug and instead is a small insert. Here's more information: https://www.wikihow.com/Set-up-Ethernet. Once you have located your Ethernet port in either the router or the wall, please test your Ethernet connection by plugging in your personal computer and connecting to the Internet. Do you have access to Ethernet (not WiFi), and are you able to connect to the Internet via Ethernet?
  • Can this work space operate as a clean room? A clean room is free of pens, paper or recording devices (cell phones, smartwatches, Amazon Alexa’s, Google Homes or any other personal recording device).
  • What is the zip code of your projected work at home location?
  • Are you currently or will you be living on-campus in a University residence hall (dorm)?
