About the opportunity: 
You will join a team of insatiably curious data engineers, software architects, and product experts who never settle for "good enough.”  Our Platform team's tech stack is based on Java (Spring Boot), Angular, and RESTful web services. We typically build and deploy applications as cloud-native Kubernetes microservices and integrate with scalable technologies such as Kafka in Docker container environments. Our developers work in an agile process to efficiently deliver high value data driven applications and product packages.

Candidates must pass a standard background check and drug screening, and must have at least 5 years of continuous U.S. presence. H-1B holders are eligible provided they meet the residency requirement.

Candidates must be based in the Northern Virginia / Washington, DC-area.

Required Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology and Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • 5-10 years of experience developing and deploying full-stack microservices using Spring Boot on the backend and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular on the frontend.
    • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, RESTful API design, and microservice architecture, with hands-on experience in delivering production-ready code.
    • Proven experience integrating with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for container orchestration and Pub/Sub for asynchronous messaging.
    • Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including hands-on use of Firestore, with experience designing and implementing abstraction layers for data access.
    • Skilled in unit and integration testing of Spring Boot APIs to ensure quality and maintainability.
    • Solid experience working in Docker containerized environments, along with implementing CI/CD pipelines in cloud-native ecosystems.Experience with other major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus, though emphasis is placed on GCP-native development.
    • Previous experience with federal government contracts, a plus.

Hourly rate for this role will be approximately $80-90/hr based on experience and credentials.
