POSITION SUMMARY
eGenesis seeks a highly motivated Finance Manager to execute the day-to-day functions of our growing finance and accounting organization. This role will assist in aspects of the monthly financial close, the annual budget and quarterly re-forecast processes. This role will also manage investor reporting. As an effective collaborator in a highly visible role, the Finance Manager will work efficiently and professionally to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are achieved. This is a full-time role based in Cambridge, MA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyze the accuracy of financial results, determine variance drivers and write performance commentary
    • Manage monthly CRO and outside services accruals; Preclinical and Clinical spend
    • Produce and distribute quarterly investor reporting; manage ad hoc requests from investor pool  
    • Understand the drivers of operating and capital expense variances
    • Partner with line of business budget owners to inform forecasting and support budget management
    • Monitor relevant trends and events impacting the business and incorporate this information into the forecast
    • Identify risks and opportunities to the plan
    • Collaborate with all members of the company to collect necessary information to produce accurate financial reporting
    • Proactively identify and recommend improved processes for increased efficiency and better controls
    • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, plus public accounting experience
    • 5+ years of corporate financial planning experience; early-stage clinical biotech experience a plus
    • Experience with NetSuite and Vena preferred
    • Experience with management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting
    • Ensure high standards of accuracy and consistency of data, attention to detail and efficiency
    • Comfort with flexible and often competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, biotechnology environment
