ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Senior Python Developer in Argentina, Poland, Croatia or Ukraine (Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Kyiv).
ABOUT PROJECT
Our client is a US-based company operating in the finance and insurance sector. The team is building a powerful web platform for financial advisors — a comprehensive SaaS solution that integrates CRM, performance reporting, financial planning, proposal generation, trading, analytics, document management, compliance, and more. The platform is highly customizable and supports both individual advisors and enterprise-level broker-dealer operations.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development, preferably with Falcon and/or FastAPI
- Knowledge of Python data structures (list, dict, arrays, heapq, collections)
- Proficiency in building RESTful APIsExperience with Databricks and Apache Spark
- Experience working with relational databases (preferably MS SQL) and data management
- Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis is required
- Experience in front-end development using Angular and TypeScript, or at least willingness and readiness to learn these technologies
- Experience with Azure is a plus
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable software in line with technical requirements, focusing on performance and availability
- Analyze requirements, review designs, and estimate user stories following project methodology (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Proactively propose code refactoring and optimization improvements according to the best software development practices and coding standards
- Help maintain and improve high-quality standards within the developer community by sharing knowledge, conducting tech talks, and participating in the internal promotion verification process
- Stay up-to-date with modern technology and obtain professional certifications
- Support less experienced developers by providing training, distributing, and monitoring tasks
