The Role: Manager, Distribution (UK)
 
We’re looking for a Manager, Distribution to oversee end-to-end operations across our UK and European markets. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that works closely with our logistics providers (3PL), supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of our distribution and value-added service (VAS) programmes.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys driving continuous improvement across logistics and operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
Distribution & VAS Operations
·        Lead operations for merchandise and VAS programmes across the UK and EU
·        Coordinate inbound shipments (including international freight) and outbound deliveries
·        Develop and manage work orders and operational documentation
·        Ensure VAS components arrive on time and that kits are dispatched as scheduled
·        Monitor programme progress and provide regular updates on readiness, completion, and costs
Logistics & Freight Management
·        Maintain receiving schedules for inbound deliveries and liaise with warehouse teams
·        Plan outbound shipments with Order Management and 3PL partners
·        Investigate root causes of any on-time delivery failures and implement solutions
Operational Strategy & Process Improvement
·        Support and implement operational initiatives to drive efficiency and scalability
·        Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved workflows, and system automation
·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Supply Chain, Transportation, Commercial)
Reporting & Analytics
·        Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and performance gaps
·        Prepare reports and present operational insights to senior leadership
·        Manage and monitor departmental budgets and resource use
Customer & Quality Focus
·        Ensure high service levels and timely fulfilment to meet customer expectations
·        Address and resolve operational issues affecting customer satisfaction
·        Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and SOPs
Project Management
·        Lead or support cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational performance
·        Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables to successful completion
 
Requirements
·        Proven experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain (ideally within FMCG, beauty, or retail)
·        Strong knowledge of working with 3PLs and international logistics
·        Proficiency in Excel (for scheduling, reporting, and data analysis)
·        Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
·        Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
·        Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset
·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
·        Experience working in or with larger organisations is preferred
