Purpose of Job 
Lead the package development team for Life cycle management projects (LCM), ensure effective communication with stakeholders, secure project launch, establish packaging specifications, qualify suppliers, and provide technical solutions to resolve packaging issues. 

    • Primary Duties and Responsibilities 
    • 1. Team Management
    • Ensure sufficient team review for project development and business-related activities.
    • Ensure adequate deployment of people management and development plans. 

    • 2. Secure successful launch for LCM projects
    • Develop packaging according to marketing project briefs including Capacity expansion, product redesign, Lean & Cost saving, Green Unicorn projects, Multi sourcing and Bigfoot projects as well as quality complain trouble shooting and design for automation.
    • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
    • Provide updates at project milestones and inform relevant parties of technical and timing issues.
    • Conduct tests to qualify new packages.
    • Create packaging specifications and control plans.
    • Ensure all projects are completed and meet the intended design, quality, cost, functionality, manufacturability, regulatory, and consumer safety requirements.
    • Ensure sufficient communication and alignment with the Creative & packaging development team and other stakeholders.
    • Develop and synchronize with the US packaging development team on global packaging development processes, test methods, and best practices.

    • 3. Lead packaging research on sustainable contributions.
    • Conduct and support packaging sustainability projects for innovation launches and LCM projects (e.g., lightweight, recyclability, PCR materials, etc.).
    • Conduct packaging sustainability studies using tools such as Bluebird, How2Recycle, PASS, etc.

    • 4. Lead technical support with suppliers to meet business requirements.
    • Manage and support the development of new packaging molds for new launch and LCM projects within a short timeframe while ensuring the right quality.
    • Participate in packaging lean projects to achieve cost savings.
    • Lead technical competency assessments of suppliers and develop upgrade plans focusing on mold development and sustainable packaging solutions, including lightweight design and the use of recyclable PP/PE/PET materials and PCR PP/PE/PET materials, working on 2-3years roadmap for above topics. 

    • Minimum request:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related major.
    • Have above 2–3 years of people management experience.
    • Communication: Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese 

    • Competency:
    • Passionate and enthusiastic about facing challenges, learning new things, and driving sustainability initiatives.
    • Demonstrates strong learning agility and quickly adapts to e.l.f.’s culture and team management requirements.
    • Including experience relate to use of sustainable / environmentally friendly materials. 

    • Relevant knowledge demand:
    • Technical knowledge and experience on make-up (above 7years) & sustainable package development. Familiar with cosmetic package material and production process on primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
    • Working knowledge in sustainability package development, familiar with recycled plastic resin production process an application for package design, mold design, resin transformation.
