Ellie Mae is seeking a Sr. General Ledger Accountant to join our team! This position will be responsible for the set-up and management of our global consolidation process.  The candidate will report to our GL manager and will have significant interaction with our counterparts of our international subsidiaries to assist with the monthly financial reporting requirements, policies and operational funding. S/he must have good knowledge of and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-entity, multi-currency accounting environment, good understanding of the consolidation process and intercompany accounting. S/he apply generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls. S/he will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles. Essential Functions

    • Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Manage the consolidations process to ensure all of our entities financial statements are properly stated in our ERP.
    • Upload trial balances and analyze the results of our international subsidiaries or entities not yet transacting in our ERP.
    • Manage the chart of account mapping for newly acquired entities to incorporate into company reporting.
    • Manage the foreign exchange rate tables in our ERP.
    • Reconcile the intercompany accounts and ensure that the intercompany accounting is properly processed.
    • Assist in settlement of intercompany accounts, as necessary.
    • Work with tax department to ensure alignment of entities in ERP is aligned with corporate tax strategy.
    • Assist in the preparation of the monthly internal financial reports and quarterly and annual internal/external financial reports, as necessary.
    • Technical accounting research and documentation
    • Assist in the preparation of audit and review work papers financial audits by external auditors
    • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.

Education, Experience And Skills Required

    • Experiences required for success in this role include:

    • B.S. in accounting, finance, or business.
    • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
    • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
    • CPA preferred.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with international bookkeepers and management of the company.
