Summary of Responsibilities:
The Sr. Manager, QA will be part of the End to End Team leading a new offshore team of analysts and automation engineers. This team covers system to system integration testing and life of a loan regression. He/She will be responsible for managing the test efforts for projects that require coordination across multiple sprint & end to end test teams.
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives:
Develops and tracks to global test plans
Defines Metrics and KPI’s for Test Reporting
Leading and supporting multiple ETET projects simultaneously
Estimating, coordinating,and tracking progress to the test plan
Driving action plans to resolve blocking issues through resolution
Identifying and raising project risks in a timely manner
Defect Management & leading triage sessions
Working with Dev Ops to define and set up test environments as needed
Communicating accurate status throughout the project lifecycle to successful completion
Enforcing defined policy and procedures for both manual and automated test efforts
Reviewing and managing the automation code quality developed by the team
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
People Manager Manages a team of direct reports
Hire, staff and onboard team members
Managing, mentoring, evaluating performance and appraising his/her direct reports
Defining and tracking the team’s performance metrics
Mentors team to grow in their roles providing training to increase skills needed to take on more complex assignments
Qualifications, Skills & Education:
12+ Years leading test teams
6+ years of IT experience in the Mortgage Banking Industry or financial systems is a BIG PLUS
Prior knowledge of Ellie Mae products is a BIG PLUS
Experience supporting projects with cross system dependencies requiring system to system testing
Established pattern of building strong teams - attracting, hiring, motivating, and retaining the best testers
Strong knowledge of test automation and experience with Selenium Test NG & MicroFocus UFT tools
Experienced performing code reviews with knowledge of Java and VB Script
Expertise in quality tools with prior experience with GitHub, Jenkins & Jira
Familiarity with current software design methodologies including Agile (Scrum) and waterfall development process.
Persistent and inquisitive problem solver, committed to driving quality forward
Works well under pressure while performing all tasks in an accurate, complete, timely and appropriate manner with strong ability to make good judgement calls
Spoken and written English skills with an ability to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions effectively with leadership teams
