Senior Financial Analyst - Ellie Mae is the leading cloud-based platform provider for the mortgage finance industry. Visit ‪ EllieMae.com to learn more.Reporting to the Director FP&A Products and Technology, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for finance support for the Chief Operating Officer’s organization including engineering, product management, and Technical support. 

Summary of Responsibilities

    • Prepare budgets and forecasts that support company objectives
    • Analyze actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods and summarize variances and the related variance drivers
    • Assist the COO and his leadership team with the spend management
    • Prepare standard financial reports for company management and the COO leadership team.
    • Develop ad hoc reports and analyses to provide leadership with analytical insights and decision support
    • Develop and maintain resource tracking by R&D project and work with the Accounting department to forecast and track capitalized software development costs
    • Approve purchase requisitions and job requisitions
    • Assist with special projects as needed

Basic Skills and Qualifications

    • 4+ years of professional experience in finance or accounting
    • BS/BA in accounting, finance, or economics, MBA/CPA preferred
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with ERP and corporate planning systems.  Experience with Host Analytics and Workday Financials desired.
