Ellie Mae, Inc. seeks a Sr. Engineer, Software in Pleasanton, CA.
Duties: Build infrastructure services that our platform and product teams leverage when developing software. Identify infrastructure service needs and create narratives and user scenarios.  Produce working code in an agile method with clear documentation for consumption by developers. Work closely with our cloud architect to design and build software components for the service. Build APIs and development scaffolding for use of the services.
Requires a master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience. 3 years of experience with Java/J2EE development, multithreading, and unit test frameworks. 3 years of experience with Python development. 3 years of experience with Agile Methodologies. 3 years of experience with designing and implementing REST APIs, microservices, messaging service frameworks. 3 years of experience in distributed computing. 3 years of experience with public cloud platform like Amazon Web Services (AWS) including PAAS and IAAS offerings like Dynamo DB, S3, EC2, SQS, SNS. 3 years of experience with multiple types of persistent storage technology e.g. RDBMS, NoSQL databases and caching frameworks. 3 years of experience with design patterns. 3 years of experience with data modelling and UML. 3 years of experience with Linux.
