About the Role:

Embedded is actively seeking to hire a Developer Support Engineer to help application developers implement and find success building on our APIs and products. You will spend a lot of time working with external developers, answering their questions, helping them overcome technical challenges and errors, and working across our internal teams to reach resolutions. You will do well in this role if you are empathetic, technically-minded, and enjoy fixing problems. You will also be a key informant of how we improve and scale our infrastructure to help thousands of correspondents around the world. This role has the option to be remote within the US or based in our Vancouver, Washington location.

What You'll Do

    • Become a technical expert with Embedded APIs, Portal, Back-Office, and other applications to enable and assist our customers to build their own products and applications
    • Help our first correspondents and their developers onboard seamlessly with Embedded
    • Design a support and ticketing system that best suits our correspondents needs and SLAs
    • Help our customers learn about Embedded integrations, navigating the dashboard, client libraries, webhook functionality, and how to handle error codes
    • Investigate bugs, identify root cause, scope, and severity of various issues
    • Develop tools, processes, and documentation to continuously improve and scale our operations

Minimum Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years in directly related software development experience
    • Customer-first attitude with a strong commitment to promoting a great user experience
    • Prior experience in a support or service role
    • Prior experience building processes from the ground up
    • Analytical and data oriented approach to problem solving
    • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and limited supervision
    • A respectful, thoughtful, and patient demeanor
    • Exceptional writing and oral communication skills
    • A curious perspective - you like to understand why things happen and work the way they do
    • A friendly attitude - you like to work with people and help them with their problems

Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous experience as a Developer Support Engineer working with payments, clearing, or trading APIs
    • Deep understanding in modern web services and APIs
    • An affinity for researching and learning about new languages and technologies
