As a Senior Proposals Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in driving Emburse's growth by identifying and engaging with potential clients through RFIs and RFPs, gaining insights into prospects; needs, challenges and priorities, and supporting our sales efforts.
What You Will Do
- Gather insights into prospects’ needs, challenges, and priorities as indicated in their RFx documents
- Demonstrate persistence in following up with prospects to maintain engagement and interest
- Proactively address objections and concerns raised by prospects during the RFx process
- Stay engaged throughout the decision-making process, providing information and clarifications as needed
- Build and nurture relationships with procurement professionals through regular communication and engagement
- Personalize interactions to each individual's role and responsibilities within the organization, tailoring messaging accordingly
- Continuously engage with contacts to maintain top-of-mind awareness and strengthen Emburse's position as a preferred vendor
- Clearly articulate Emburse’s value proposition and solutions in RFx responses
- Producing compelling and accurate RFx responses that align with Emburse's offerings and position competitively
- Utilize persuasive communication to effectively convey why Emburse is the best fit for the prospect
- Collaborate internally to ensure RFx response clarity and accuracy for all requirements and inquiries
- Support content creation by updating or creating collateral as needed, in collaboration with Sales and Marketing
What You Will Bring
- 7+ years managing end-to-end RFI/RFP responses for B2B SaaS or procurement-heavy industries; 30+ complex proposals completed in team-based environments
- Proven track record with RFPIO or a similar proposal automation tool; experience integrating AI tools into content libraries and workflows
- Fluency with Salesforce CRM and tools like HighSpot for content management; used these to track response engagement and win rates
- Familiarity with Consensus or equivalent platforms to deliver personalized demos or proposal content
- Ideally have worked with sales teams trained in MEDDPICC, Miller Heiman, or Challenger—understands how to align messaging with deal strategy
- Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Marketing, or similar—or equivalent work history (e.g. background in journalism, technical writing, or sales engineering)
- Completed formal proposal writing certifications (e.g. APMP Foundation/Practitioner, Shipley) or can show process-level experience aligned with those methodologies
- It is a huge plus to have some experience with sales/capture motions and competitive research as part of this role.
