What you'll do:

    • You will proactively drive the vision for the marketing data landscape at Emma and define and execute on a plan to achieve that vision. 
    • You will drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production. 
    • You will provide guidance, support and mentoring to the data engineers and data analysts in the team and contribute to their technical growth.  
    • You will contribute to the improvement of our data engineering and analytics practices.  
    • You will play a key role in supporting us attract, develop and retain great talent.  
    • You will do leadership activities which include performance appraisals, regular 1on1's, resource and capacity planning.  

Who we're looking for:

    • You have a university degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics or similar field. 
    • You have at least 2 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer / Data analyst / Analytics engineer. 
    • You have experience in leading a team.  
    • Expertise in data warehousing and ETL processes.
    • You have experience with cloud services, ideally AWS (knowledge in Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue, etc. would be a plus). 
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
    • You have experience with different tools for ETL processes and process orchestration (preferably Matillion, dbt, Apache Airflow). 
    • You have proven experience with the implementation of data warehousing architectures and layers. 
    • You have proven experience in delivering solutions from design to production using Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and are able to break down design into meaningful tasks. 
    • You have an understanding of the importance of well-organized codebase and documentation.
