Job Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and technically adept Senior Product Manager, Platform to lead the evolution of our platform architecture and foundational services. In this role, you’ll own critical areas including authentication, authorization, architecture, monitoring, error handling, and more. This role sits at the heart of how our systems scale, how users interact with our product, and how internal teams build with consistency and confidence. You’ll bring a strong background in platform product management, with the ability to shape architectural conversations, measure system performance, and guide decisions that drive scalability.
As Senior Product Manager, Platform, you’ll be responsible for bringing structure, reliability, and reusability to the core layers of our product by driving initiatives that empower both internal teams and end users. This role requires hands-on experience with platform-level capabilities and a solid understanding of modern software architecture. While you won’t be writing code, you must be able to collaborate effectively with engineering leaders, speak thoughtfully about architectural tradeoffs, and ensure that product decisions support long-term scalability and system health. This is a highly cross-functional role with deep impact on usability, maintainability, and developer productivity.
What we're asking you to do!
- Platform Ownership: Define and drive the roadmap for core platform capabilities, including architecture foundations, platform services, and shared systems.
- Identity & Access Management: Own the product experience and technical coordination for user authentication, roles, permissions, and access control.
- Design System Leadership: Collaborate with design teams to evolve and maintain our product design system, component libraries, and interaction patterns.
- System Messaging & Error Handling: Create standards and lead initiatives for system messaging, error states, and notification consistency to enhance user trust and clarity.
- Observability & Monitoring: Define platform observability requirements, enabling teams to track system health, user behavior, and application performance.
- Technical Collaboration: Partner with engineering to ensure architectural scalability and alignment between platform services and application-layer features.
- Internal Enablement: Drive reuse and consistency by building shared infrastructure and services that empower other product and engineering teams to move faster.
- Security & Compliance: Align identity, observability, and platform services with security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Documentation & Standards: Establish documentation and standards for platform capabilities to support internal adoption and long-term maintainability.
What we're asking you to bring!
- A bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in product management or a related technical role within an agile B2B SaaS environment.
- 2+ years focused on technical, platform, or infrastructure-level products.
- Familiarity with modern architecture patterns including microservices, event-driven systems, and service-oriented design.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management from a product perspective.
- A practical understanding of observability, system health monitoring, and how platform metrics inform product decisions.
- Experience supporting or scaling a design system across multiple teams and feature areas.
- A track record of building shared systems or infrastructure that supports other teams and improves development velocity.
- A collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to bring clarity to complexity.
