Position Summary

The Supervisor, ETL Operations will guide a team of ETL Analysts in providing support to Operations/Implementation business owners, working alongside database developers on new development features, and ensure both internal and external client expectations are met with regards to implementations and service requests. The Team Lead will not only perform core ETL functions for client on-boarding but will also oversee day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality data solutions are provided within department SLAs. This role requires a strong understanding of how healthcare claim data is transmitted from EHR’s, how those claims are received by parties responsible for reimbursement of the claim, and how to use and reference that data to perform analysis and root cause solutioning. 

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and mentor a team of ETL Operations Analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
    • Partner with leadership across the organization to
    • Coordinate team activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of ETL configuration and development tasks.
    • Analyze and understand complex business and engineering challenges, and delegate tasks appropriately across the team.
    • Review ETL specifications to determine if setup can happen through configuration or if development is needed.
    • Set up ETL configurable requests and oversee team execution of these setups.
    • Review specifications for missing ETL functionality and ensure team members follow up with appropriate documentation.
    • Create and validate functional specifications for missing ETL functionality; collaborate with the Development team to ensure accuracy of specifications and design.
    • Monitor and review current ETL configurations for improvement and accuracy, both individually and across the team.
    • Ensure proper data alignment for EnableComp claims processing through regular review of process outputs.
    • Foster strong communication between the ETL team, business stakeholders, and development teams.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices across the team.
    • Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

    • Associate’s Degree in technology, computer science, data science, or equivalent experience required.
    • 5 - 7 years’ experience working with healthcare data.
    • 2 - 3 years’ experience in a leadership setting.
    • Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role preferred.
    • Detail-oriented with a drive to investigate and dissect information, maintaining a strong focus on quality.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to leadership.
    • Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration across teams and within the ETL group.
    • TSQL knowledge a plus.
    • Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Regular and predictable attendance.

    • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy/scan/print machine, phone and computer.
