Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group (VERG) is seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant/Technician to join our team. VERG is a state-of-the-art 24-hour Emergency Care & Specialty hospital with board-certified doctors in each department. What will you do?
- Process and prepare diagnostic samples
- Utilize in clinic equipment to include but not limited to:
- blood gas and electrolyte analyzer
- CBC machine
- Blood chemistry analyzer
- Digital cytology machine
- Clotting and cross typing for blood transfusions
- Maintain accurate records
- Explains medical conditions, treatment options, and recommended care
- Assists Primary Care doctors with administrative tasks and client follow-up
- Maintains a clean hospital environment to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and clients
- Carrying of objects up to 25lbs
- Occasional to frequent standing and walking
- Occasional sitting
- Close eye work(computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned

$22 - $28 an hour
