The veterinary assistant plays a key role in facilitating an efficient workflow and will work with animal patients and assist with client service. This role provides an opportunity for learning and professional development. An ideal candidate will have a strong desire to expand their skillset and pursue veterinary technician licensure.

What you will be doing (THE MISSION):
- Assist the internal medicine team with patient treatments
- animal restraint
- Collecting patient history
- Routine blood collection
- Assist with instrument preparation and breakdown
- Ability to schedule appointments
- Answer basic client questions either in person of over the phone
- other duties as assigned
What you have:
- Excellent communication skills-- both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions as needed
- Ability to multi-task in a stressful environment
- Ability to speak and hear by phone or in person
- Ability to use and learn computers
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to master large volumes of detailed information
- Comfort working around animals
