What you will be doing (THE MISSION):
- prepare, setup and breakdown the operating room including arranging surgical instrumentation
- assist the veterinary surgical team including patient prep and positioning
- assist in preparing and positioning animal patients for surgery
- transport animal patients
- manage surgery equipment
- cleaning of the operating room
- communicate with several teams and relay accurate information
- adhere to all safety and sterility protocols
What you have:
- passion for animal care
- previous experience in a veterinary setting including a surgical environment
- solid understanding of aseptic technique
- patient positioning
- animal handling experience
- completion of a veterinary assistant or technician program a plus
