Are you a dedicated and compassionate radiation oncologist looking to make a significant impact in veterinary oncology? Friendship Hospital for Animals is excited to announce the installation of our state-of-the-art Varian TruBeam 4.1 Linear Accelerator, equipped with the latest ARIA and Eclipse System v18 software. We are seeking a skilled radiation oncologist to join our team and help us elevate the standard of cancer care for our beloved animal patients.

This program allows for a dynamic exchange of knowledge and expertise, fostering a rich learning environment for both interns and seasoned professionals.

Position Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement individualized radiation therapy plans using the Varian TruBeam 4.1 and ARIA and Eclipse System v18 software. 
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for oncology patients. 
    • Mentor and work closely with small animal rotating interns. 
    • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress. 
    • Educate and communicate with pet owners about treatment options, procedures, and expected outcomes. 
    • Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of veterinary oncology. 

Qualifications:

    • DVM or equivalent degree. 
    • Board certification in Radiation Oncology. 
    • Experience with linear accelerators and radiation therapy planning systems, preferably Varian TruBeam and ARIA and Eclipse System. 
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
    • Dedication to compassionate patient care and client education

$230,000 - $250,000 a year
salary is based on skills and experience.
