Position Overview:
The Director, Business Development will primarily focus on identifying, developing, and winning U.S. new business opportunities. 
Note: This role can be based remotely, with candidates local to Boston being preferred.

Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for selling clinical trials software (RTSM) to pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
    • Achieving company sales goals.
    • Establish and maintain client relationships while prospecting for new opportunities.
    • Work with the Account Management team to maintain relationships, priorities, and feedback.
    • Educate customers on the value of a new software platform.
    • Maintain accurate records of all activities in Salesforce.
    • Communicate weekly activities and develop a robust sales funnel.
    • Accurately forecast awards and executed contracts.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients about the endpoint platform. 
    • Generate quotes and proposals using available templates.
    • Participate in various trade shows and conferences.
    • Assist in the creation of new sales plans and strategies.

Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience

Experience:

    • 3 years RTSM, eClinical, or related sales experience.
    • Proven track record of success in Business-to-Business Software sales.
    • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.
    • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a sales team environment. 
    • Organized with a methodical approach to prospecting.

$100,000 - $135,000 a year
