Position Overview:
The Software Engineer Intern, Product Engineering fulfills a role in the development of new and existing products and ensuring strong quality with adherence to defined development processes. This position provides an opportunity to learn and grow in technical knowledge and experience to build a solid foundation as a software engineer. This position will be involved in implementing innovative technical solutions and strategies. The position requires a highly self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a highly collaborative atmosphere.
Your goal is to learn and experience how to deliver industry-leading software products and do everything necessary to achieve this. To do this, you need to have some technical knowledge of software development.
** This role will be required to work full time for a 6 month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for software development delivery as per specifications and in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Work on projects from design to launch, including development, unit testing, testing, integration, and deployment
- Ensure code quality in development by adherence to software development processes
- Uphold quality processes within the software development team using Endpoint Clinical methodologies, including coding standards, code reviews, unit testing, and other Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
Education:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent and/or appropriate experience
Experience:
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Technical knowledge of .NET technologies
- Technical knowledge of web technologies, including React, other JavaScript libraries, Typescript, and CSS/SASS
- Understanding of SDLC, including analyzing, documenting, and developing software systems
- Some experience or knowledge in life sciences industry a plus
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Skills listed below are a plus:
- -Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development
- -Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- -Knowledge of including but not limited to:
- -Developing REST web services using C#, ASP.NET
- -Microsoft SQL Server, Entity framework and LINQ
- -JavaScript development using React.js/jQuery/etc.
- -Redis
- -Azure Power Platform
- Exposure to Cloud Technologies such as Azure or AWS
$15 - $19 an hour
