The Engine Summer Internship 2019
The Engine, built by MIT, invests in early-stage companies solving the world’s biggest problems through the convergence of breakthrough science, engineering, and leadership. We accelerate the path to market for Tough Tech companies through the combination of capital, infrastructure, and network.
We empower founders and leaders in the Tough Tech ecosystem by giving them access to expertise and community, as well as specialized labs, equipment, tools, and space they need to thrive. We operate a 25,000 square foot facility of office, lab and makerspace at our headquarters in Cambridge, MA.

Details: Paid Full Time Internship
Projects may include but are not limited to, research and analysis of key technology areas and financing models in Tough Tech, and design/support of initiatives related to internal and external program for the portfolio companies and beyond, network & community programs, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
•Currently enrolled in MBA, MPP/MPA, MS, or interdisciplinary program with the ability to be “full-time” during the summer
• Ideally a B.S. or B.A. in a science or engineering discipline
• Work experience prior to entering masters program is an advantage
• Students with significant activity in “convergence” areas; those that have participated and organized large events/competitions; or those that have participated and organized teams (sports, armed forces) are encouraged to apply.
