Marketing & Event Manager
The Engine - dedicated to helping tough tech founders build the next generation of world-changing companies - is seeking a unique person to join our Design & Marketing team to craft and share our founders stories and tough tech content with the world.
The Marketing & Events role is for a detail-oriented marketer who can plan and execute internal and external marketing events. This position must utilize skills including team-based interaction, project management, goal setting and administrative support. We operates in a design process mindset, we prototype and we iterate very quickly. He/She must have the ability to work at a fast pace, be super creative, have a design mindset and super organized. This role reports directly to the Design Director.

What will I be doing?:
Thrive in a fast-paced creative environment with a culture of experimentation yet value the need to organize and plan
Develop and execute The Engine’s events and conferences programs including presentations, marketing assets, etc.
Have excellent project management skills, ability to multitask effectively
Be well-versed in both online and offline marketing programs
Be able to think quickly on your feet, adapt to a highly variable environment, change scope and focus with ease
Skilled at crafting compelling stories, both in writing and verbally and across marketing and business needs
Develop marketing collateral to support marketing programs including partnerships, events, conferences, and business development
Create and manage project plans for various marketing and event activities.
Coordinate event logistics from start to finish
Oversee registration processes for events, create registration links, track and provide weekly registration reporting, and deliver post-event attendee assessment

4 to 5 years of experience
Highly detail oriented with superb organizational skills.
Creative and innovative thinkerHigh collaborator and team player, willing to jump into anything
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong ability to multi-task with results-oriented mindset
Calm individual who can operate under pressure, deadlines
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Google Apps.
Basic knowledge in graphics arts software (Adobe, Wordpress) and HTML for website applications or willingness to learn.
Flexible, proactive and optimistic.
Social Media experience
Content marketing and management on our website
Event production experience preferred
