We are looking to hire a People Coordinator to join the Hoxton Portland People & Culture Team!

The details
The People Coordinator will be based out of The Hoxton, Portland and will work 5 days a week Monday-Friday. You’ll report directly to the Head of People & Culture for Downtown LA and Portland.

Here’s an idea of how we see the role…

    • Help execute the People Department’s long-term people plan and play a role in its design
    • Help position The Hoxton as an employer of choice
    • Maintain a close relationship with each individual member of the team to maintain a consistently high level of engagement
    • Champion The Hoxton’s values and behaviors to ensure they permeate all areas of the business
    • Help oversee the administration of the People department, including recruitment & onboarding, benefits communication, training, and recognition programs.
    • Assist with a program of ongoing team events, including chairing the Hox Squad team in charge of social and volunteer activities.
    • Love what you do, and inspire our team to love what they do too

What we’re looking for…

    • You have a passion for planning employee events and other additional surprise and delight activities for the team.
    • You execute. You get things done
    • You are scarily organized, with an ability to manage your time effectively and prioritize tasks when you have a lot on your plate.
    • You have a keen eye for detail and love to share your notes and feedback
    • You have experience in hotel operations. People experience/knowledge is a bonus, but not imperative.
    • You can keep a secret. You exercise discretion when handling team issues and can keep your emotions out of situations without coming off impersonal. You know how to filter information and can communicate that effectively to those that need to know.
    • You live in the gray. We often don’t work in the black and white.
    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to The Hoxton’s unique culture
$21 - $21 an hour
