This is an exciting time at Enovix! We are looking for experienced candidates to help support our new lithium-ion battery production facility in Penang, Malaysia for commercialization of our 3D Silicon™ Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery.
Enovix is seeking a Metrology Engineer to define and implement a strategy for our Production Line. He/she will work closely with R&D, Equipment Engineering and Operations to develop metrology solutions to characterize the cell for critical-to-quality metrics during High Volume Manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Define metrology needs and refine metrology strategy for Enovix’ 3D lithium ion batteries manufacturing through:
- 1. Articulation of objective specifications.
- 2. Identification & testing of sensors/probes that can meet or exceed the requirements per the Phase Gate process.
- Work with equipment team and external vendors to design, develop and test fixtures, probes or tools leading to eventual integration into high-volume manufacturing.
- Automate measurements/data extraction and organize them in formats usable by end users.
- Develop and deploy appropriate calibration program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering, Physics or related field
- Strong understanding of Metrology fundamentals, materials, and structural characterization techniques.
- Proficiency in Measurement System Analysis.
- Hands-on experience with developing and deploying metrology solutions in high volume environments is a plus.
- Experience with automated image analysis using ML/CNN techniques is desired.
- Experience in characterization of Li-ion batteries is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
