This is an exciting time at Enovix! We are looking for experienced candidates to help support our new lithium-ion battery production facility in Penang, Malaysia for commercialization of our 3D Silicon™ Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery.
Job Summary
- FA & CC Lab Technician core role will be focusing on carrying out Failure Analysis and cell Characterization (Reliability) for parts under development, NPI and Qualification. Carry out or performs functions associated with failure analysis, characterization, reliability data collection and reporting. Ensure all metrology in the Lab and in perfect condition and strictly adhering to timely TPM. The technician is responsible for equipment preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares and sustaining. In addition, the technician is responsible for preparing and imaging FIB samples and collecting Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) data to support our product reliability and failure analysis efforts. Some common equipment exposure required to handle X-RAY, SEM-EDX, GC-MS, ATR-FTIR, Safety Testing and Reliability System. The technician may be responsible for the buddy, trainer, and certifier levels and in charge of updating training manuals and periodical reporting as per direction by Engineer/Manager/Director. The technician may participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. The technician normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work, Systematic and Analytical approach id handy in this work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain equipment, ensuring proper calibration and performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support product reliability, safety, cell characterization and failure analysis activities.
- Collect and analyze the samples or specimen, preparing data analysis, providing accurate and reliable results.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures in compliance with 6S Housekeeping.
- Strong understanding of material science, failure analysis techniques, data collection and reporting on results.
- Performs mechanical inspection to ensure all quality aspects of the job are met exactly.
- Generates detail inspection and nonconformance reports as necessary based on Cell Characterization. Reliability and Safety Test carried out.
- Generate Daily/Weekly/Monthly Quality reports as necessary.
- Checks documents for accuracy and compliance to Safety requirement such as UN38.3, UL16.2, IEC-62133 and any other relevant documents
- Interfaces and provides support to other factory partners and customers on quality related issues as necessary and any product development activities.
- Requires ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment, practice 6S at all times.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills, strong attention to detail and as Team player.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronic or related fields or any related field (e.g. material science, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering) or equivalent experience
- Preferable working experience in electronics and semiconductor field minimum 3-5 years electronic industries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, Excel, Word and Powerpoint and database software, Manufacturing workflow system ie: SAP, MES and ext.
- Must be able to read and apply Work instruction, SOP, Drawings, BOM schematics, and specifications in a proficient level
- Proficient knowledge and experience in handling Failure Analysis equipments such as XRAY. FTIR, SEM-EDX, GC-MS and so on.
- Able to read and interpret specifications, standards and engineering drawings
- Proficient in Mechanical & Electrical measurement techniques and workmanship standards
- Proficiency using hand held tools (micrometers, calipers, Optical Comparator and other measuring and test equipment.
- Proficiency in using automated measurement equipment’s are added advantage
