As a CloudOps Engineer, you will work in an Agile, collaborative environment to deploy, configure, and maintain systems, ensuring the reliability, stability, and efficiency of the platform.  While you may not be directly involved in incident management, you'll play a crucial role in incident response, contributing to the overall reliability of our systems. Automation and optimization of processes using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub will be key aspects of your responsibilities. As a CloudOps Engineer, you will be involved in automating and optimizing processes using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Rundeck.

Responsibilities will include

    • Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installations, updates, and core services.
    • Contribute to the maintenance of the reliability, stability, and efficiency of the platform, participating in incident response as needed.
    • Comprehending procedures and actively participating in their automation and optimization.
    • Work independently on most tasks with some guidance, exercising judgment within defined procedures.
    • Ability to act as a mentor Occasionally. Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
    • Contribute to managing and documenting standards, policies, and processes for CloudOps.
    • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
    • Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives
    • Understand and follow document Standards, Policies, and Processes for the CloudOps.
    • Normal operating hours with some weekend “available” work (no graves, swing shifts).

Minimum Qualifications

    • Any beginner-level cloud or DevOps tools certification.
    • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.   
    • Ability to program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Python / C / C++ / PHP / Bash scripting.
    • Intermediate Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and Networking
    • Must hold experience with managing few of AWS Services (EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, ELB, ASG, NFS)
    • Must be knowledgeable on SCM tools like GitHub, BitBucket, SVN.
    • Has a keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Must be aware of a few IaC (Terraform/ CloudFormation/Ansible )
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Holds Terraform Certification
    • Basic understanding of Runbooks, Rundeck
    • Good to have hands-on knowledge of monitoring tools like Zabbix, New Relic, and Grafana.
    • Good to know about ITIL Process, CAB
    • Good to have the hands-on Project Control tool Jira
    • Good to know Microservice architecture, web services 
    • Good to have experience implementing and maintaining monitoring policies and best practices.
    • Good to know Dynamic resource management frameworks (Kubernetes /Apache Mesos/ Yarn)
