Entrata is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax team in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of tax laws and demonstrate strong leadership skills. They will oversee tax planning, reporting, and strategy to optimize our financial performance. This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations to minimize risk and avoid penalties.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's financial performance.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate the effects to management.
- Provide guidance and training to the tax team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and tax planning.
- Prepare and analyze tax provisions and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and resolve tax issues and inquiries from various stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update the company’s tax records and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in tax management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent professional certification.
- Master’s degree in Taxation or related field.
- Experience in the real estate or property management industry.
- Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
