Entrata is looking for a high-performing Contracts Manager to join our Contracts Team.  In this role, you will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity.  The Contracts Manager is responsible for drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements with Entrata’s customers. We are looking for someone with impeccable attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills, solid written negotiation skills, and a positive attitude.  Because Entrata is one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in the multifamily housing market, we need someone who is capable of adapting to new processes seamlessly.

Responsibilities:

    • Analyze & interpret complex provisions in commercial agreements to identify alignment with Entrata’s policies
    • Draft MSAs, Sales Orders, and legacy customer license agreements and amendments
    • Negotiation (mostly written and occasionally verbal) of a variety of sales, professional services, and other standard agreements 
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review, acting as a key contact for the legal department by providing guidance to internal and external customers on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, questions, etc. 
    • Review and revise standard template agreements to adhere to Entrata’s standard policies and procedures 
    • Independently manages workflow for contract review process for a variety of contract types, beginning with receipt of requests for contract creation, drafting, negotiation, and collaboration with internal experts through routing for signatures
    • Execute assigned projects as determined by the needs of the legal /contracts department
    • Work across the organization to improve contracting processes for sales
    • Back up all Contracts Team functions and responsibilities, as needed
    • Assists more junior team members with complex reviews and issue resolution; recommending drafting and/or negotiation solutions to close out contracts
    • Executes assigned projects independently as determined by the needs of the legal leadership team

Minimum Requirements:

    • 6+ years of experience managing a variety of complex contracts (including drafting and negotiation) in a corporate environment
    • Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic record; 
    • Ability to manage and deliver on a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues; particularly in a fast-paced corporate setting
    • Must be a creative problem solver and capable project manager
    • Experience in written negotiations, some oral negotiations, project management, risk awareness, and clear understanding of issue escalation
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions, providing advice to operations teams in carrying out the terms of the contract, as needed
    • Proficient in Word and Excel 
    • Solid experience with a contract management system, e.g., Docusign strongly preferred
    • Prior experience with Salesforce
    • Experience with electronic signature software, e.g., Adobe Sign, Docusign
    • Prior experience working in a SaaS company or other highly regulated industry preferred
