We develop cutting-edge AI solutions for the U.S. real estate market, helping property managers automate their property solutions. As a Software Engineer on this team, you’ll design and implement automation solutions and integrate AI into workflows. You’ll craft effective AI prompts, develop automation tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to transform manual processes into streamlined, agentic systems.

Responsibilities

    • You will design, architect, test, and implement an innovative AI product
    • ‍Contributing to the backend development process, from spec to tested production code
    • Develop and optimize AI prompts to support internal teams, enabling better decision-making and faster execution.
    • Collaborate with business and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and define technical requirements.
    • Write clean, maintainable code for automation workflows and AI integrations using modern programming practices.
    • Continuously research and experiment with emerging AI tools and frameworks to deliver innovative solutions.
    • Monitor, test, and optimize automation performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

    • 3+ years of software development experience in a professional environment.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or related framework).
    • Experience with any RDBMS
    • Experience with API development and integrations.
    • Demonstrable experience leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) for enhanced code generation, refactoring, debugging assistance, and overall development efficiency.
    • Skilled with Gen AI tools.
    • Familiarity with AI concepts and ability to work with large language models (LLMs).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in process improvement.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
    • Exposure to AI/ML APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI) and prompt engineering best practices.
    • Background in building internal tools or agentic AI solutions.
$97,000 - $154,500 a year
This band covers the full salary range for the role. Your offer within this range will depend on factors like experience, skills, and internal equity.

Currently, Entrata hires in Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Illinois for Exempt roles and Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, North Carolina, and Florida for Non-Exempt roles.
