Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Data Engineer for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data architecture to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide optimal solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move and transform data from source systems to data warehouses.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading of large volumes of data.
- Create and maintain data models, ensuring consistency, integrity, and performance of databases.
- Implement data quality checks and ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide the necessary infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring data availability and reliability.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and workflows.
- Implement and adhere to data security and compliance measures to protect sensitive information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+years of experience in data engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing data solutions.
- Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Apache Beam, Talend)
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with cloud-based data services.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
