Purpose of Job

Equitable has transformed to a hybrid-agile delivery methodology with cross-functional Pods dedicated to launching new products, features, and ongoing business value for portfolios. The Senior Software Engineer at Equitable Bank plays a pivotal role in our cutting-edge digital initiatives. Key responsibilities involve crafting, building, and supporting RESTful/SOAP APIs and ETL solutions tailored for our dynamic web and mobile online channels. In addition to technical prowess, the incumbent will share their expertise through guiding and mentoring fellow software developers.

Within the Agile Product Pods, each holds the responsibility of delivering value by optimizing performance against the product metrics within its domain. These Pods immerse themselves in understanding user needs, consistently prioritizing tasks to address the most valuable aspects promptly. Clear accountability metrics ensure that these decisions align seamlessly with overarching business priorities.

Rather than imposing a rigid product roadmap from the top-down, our leadership team establishes business goals and identifies areas of opportunity and key strategic initiatives. Subsequently, every Pod must strike a balance between developing new features and iteratively enhancing existing products on its quarterly roadmap.
