The Work

As Creative Lead, you will create a holistic design strategy for our customers’ end-to-end journey in Digital Banking, including both online and mobile banking. You will provide an integrated design vision across projects based on incomplete or evolving requirements and provide guidance to our business and product stakeholders on how to turn concepts to life.
This is a hands-on role where you will use your deep design experience in an agile software development environment in collaboration with other world-class Product, Customer Experience, Marketing and Tech professionals. You will mentor and support product and visual designers on how to articulate our value and goals into an actionable design strategy, by exploring ideas and creating visual treatments.

The core parts of your role would be to:

    • Help establish engagement strategy and growth vision
    • Translate Brand philosophy into delightful visual brand moments (celebration, app splash, wait times, task completion)
    • Reimagine visual language across multiple product journeys (account opening, moving money, managing account, and loyalty program)
    • Ideate with product and design teams to approach customer challenges in innovative ways and challenge the status quo in online and mobile banking
    • Foster creative collaboration with Product and Marketing teams
    • Create prototypes, storyboards and sketches and ultimately high and low fidelity visual design for web and mobile app

Let’s Talk About You

    • Post-secondary education
    • 7+ years experience creating the vision of software products and translating to design deliverables
    • Finely tuned empathy and conceptual thinking to enable high emotional resonance with human-centred methodology
    • Ability to create prototypes and materials needed to bring experiences to life
    • Experience presenting high and low fidelity concepts to senior leadership, articulate thought process and create excitement along customer journey
    • Strong tendency to collaboration and welcoming of constructive criticism
    • Passion for creating products that have value and help people succeed
    • Tools: Figma (primary tool), Protopie (Motion/animation); Open to others for specific needs

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
