The Purpose of the Work!
 
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Performance Marketing, the Performance Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for leading performance media planning and execution for EQ Bank (personal banking and small business banking) and Equitable Bank’s reverse mortgage line of business to drive leads and product acquisition from our performance channels.  
 
The position requires a team player, self-starter and passionate marketer that makes sound, data-driven decisions to drive customer consideration and acquisition.  They must have a strong knowledge of performance channels including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads as well as social ads. A successful candidate must be curious, fearless, relentless and solution-oriented. They are curious about new campaigns, channels, betas and are constantly thinking of ways to drive consideration and demand for the products. They must also be comfortable working in an agile, performance-driven environment, and are able to multi-task and shift priorities when needed.  

The Work!

    • Leading paid performance media channels for eq bank personal and small business banking and equitable bank reverse mortgage including Google & Microsoft Ads to drive strong return on investment and efficient CAC. 
    • Assisting where needed on execution and strategy and potentially leading paid social channels (Meta, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.) 
    • Working closely with the sr. manager and product marketing team to plan and execute go-to-market campaigns including channel mix, ad mix, budgets, KPIs, testing plans etc.  
    • Working closely with product managers, agency partners, legal and compliance, operations, finance to timely manage necessary ad updates. 
    • Managing budgets across all performance channels and making budget recommendations.   
    • Implementing tests that can increase the conversion rate and/or decrease the CAC of our ads. 
    • Identifying and testing new channels to continue to meet or exceed conversion goals. 
    • Leverage analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar to gauge performance channel effectiveness and make campaign changes/optimizations and/or set up tests as necessary to drive improved channel performance.  
    • Weekly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting on channel performance to key stakeholders including management, product managers, agency partners, etc.  
    • Occasionally work with affiliate marketing team members by suggesting ideas for partnerships / affiliates that could grow sign ups.  
    • Keep up-to-date with marketing communications, betas and trends and share with the team to help inspire test ideas and solutions. 

Let's Talk About You!

    • University education in Marketing, Commerce, Business or related experience. 
    • 4+ years of experience in a client-side or leading agency environment, managing strategy and execution on SEM, Google Discover, PMAX and display ads.  
    • Experience in paid social ads is an asset (Meta, Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok etc.)  
    • Excellent time management, vendor management and organizational skills.  
    • Strong attention to detail. 
    • Strong analytical, reporting/storytelling skills. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street, Toronto, ON.
