The Work
Employee Experience and inclusion work is unlike any other job out there, and you know this because you’ve already been a part of this work. You also know that this role can be joyful, challenging and change-making, often all in one day. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications & Events, the Employee Experience & Inclusion Coordinator will work to help develop and execute the Bank’s inclusion strategies, in alignment with EQB’s goals, priorities, and strategic plans.
The Employee Experience & Inclusion Coordinator role helps to support equity- and inclusion-focused programs, projects and events for the organization to achieve. When this work is done well, it helps drive employee engagement, provide employees the opportunity to teach and learn from each other, and fosters a culture of inclusion where employees feel a true sense of the importance of their own voice and expertise, as a result of their own lived experience.
The Core Responsibilities!
- Supporting employees’ days of cultural significance, such as Black History Month, Pride Month, National Indigenous Peoples Day and many more.
- Supporting areas within the inclusion portfolio.
- Collecting and reporting on inclusion activities across the Bank for presentations and external presentations.
- Drafting communications, invitations and updates for employee events and days of commemoration.
- Supporting the communications and events activities for the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
- Planning and coordinating volunteer opportunities for employees.
- Supporting the corporate giving and philanthropic programs of the Bank, including partner relationship management, and creating and sharing stories of our giving efforts with employees.
- Collaborating on budgeting needs with HR to ensure appropriate budget planning to ensure cost-effective yet impactful events.
Let's Talk About You!
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to thoughtfully navigate conversations with employees from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences1-3 years of experience supporting event rollouts (and the small details involved in making those successful).
- Customer oriented, self-starter, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent record keeping and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Bilingualism (French) would be an asset.
