We are looking for a Visual Designer who can help build, develop and evolve the Equals Group brands delivering best-in-class visual design.

With our headquarters in London, Chester and Los Angeles, the Equals Group comprises of three business lines and brands - Equals Money, FairFX and CardOneMoney. You will join a very close-knit, talented and supportive team from various backgrounds who believe that bringing different perspectives together helps us understand our customers' needs. United, by one thing, making money management straightforward and cost-effective for our customers.

Role Overview

    • A designer at the Equals Group is a creative and imaginative thinker dedicated to producing exceptional, cutting edge work. Confident in their ability to design creatively with an assured style, they seek to push the boundaries of a range of cross-platform digital and print work.

    • Working closely with the Design Team and the Growth Team, the ideal candidate should be able to execute projects of all sizes and complete them with resourcefulness and dedication, taking the initiative to challenge briefs and exceed expectations. You will work on projects of all sizes, including digital marketing design, sales collateral, website design, brand design, and print.

What you will be doing

    • You'll collaborate closely with our designers and Growth team to create creative digital assets for all our social channels we use to gain new customers and keep existing ones engaged.
    • Create presentations and printed materials to assist the Sales team in explaining who we are as a company and what our products can do for our customers.
    • Work on designs for event-related materials, such as stands, posters, merchandise, business cards, etc.
    • Design and maintenance of our websites using Webflow (full training to be provided).
    • Source photography and illustrations for social media posts, blogs, websites, and product mock-ups.
    • Influence, champion, and develop consistency across marketing collateral and product design.
    • Pitch ideas and design concepts in a group environment and synthesise/interpret feedback from multiple stakeholders.
    • Own the creative process through concept, design, production and delivery.

    • A great sense of visual communication. Strong layout and typography skills and eye for small details.
    • Understands copy and image and how they are intrinsically linked when producing marketing communications across different channels.
    • Positive attitude towards learning and developing and acquiring new skills from counterparts.
    • Has energy, passion and drive to work within a fast-paced environment on multiple directives.
    • Ability to pick up design guidelines, ensuring continuity across our product, internal and external comms
    • Understands copy and image and how they are intrinsically linked when producing marketing communications across different channels.
    • Thrives on delivering work that they are proud of but not precious and can take feedback.
    • Motivated and driven with a strong sense of belief coupled with a flexible, pragmatic approach and willingness to adapt your ideas where necessary.
    • High levels of communication expertise, liaising with other teams across the business, e.g. sales, growth, marketing, and engineering teams. Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Independent, self-starter, taking on responsibility and driving continuous improvement.
    • Passionate about all things digital and eager to find out about new technologies.
    • Has good awareness of developments in the industry to share and inform the team.
    • A problem solver and logical thinker with great attention to detail.

Technical experience

    • Graphic Design, Visual Communications or similar qualification.
    • Experience using Adobe CC (primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and willing to learn new software when required, such as Webflow.
    • Multiple project experience using Figma.
    • Interest and knowledge of photography and photo retouching.
    • Experience in social media graphic design
    • Has a good understanding of email marketing and how to create emails within a template (Hubspot).
    • Print design experience

What will give you bonus points

    • Experience with or interest in using Webflow (website builder) or knowledge of HTML/CSS at a foundation level are a huge bonus
    • Video and animation skills

●Hybrid working arrangement where possible, which means that for some roles you will be able to work remotely for some days of the week. However, we still want employees to collaborate in person at both our London and Chester offices, and therefore, candidates will need to still be a comfortable commuting distance from either location for the days you are required to work from or come into the office.
