About the Job 👇
You’ll take part in strategic development projects on our road to 100% automation. This position will see you mostly developing product features in existing software, as well as new streaming microservices from scratch. The tasks will require a high-level view of our value delivery chain and test your technical product insights. To achieve your goals you will have to communicate with other technical teams (QA, cloud engineering, operations) and your highly skilled and motivated dev team.
What You Will Do ✏️
You will provide the basic solutions that the team will follow, on such topics as monitoring automation, stream manipulation and analysis for DASH/HLS/CMAF and KPI automation to provide visibility on product performance. You will disseminate the knowledge and processes you have developed in writing and training seminars.
Your Responsibilities 📝
As a Streaming Automation Developer, you are expected to:
- Design and implement new streaming-related features and functionality as part of our NodeJS stack.
- Write and improve tests, including developing a new stream analyzer.
- Introduce new tools and technologies.
- Perform code reviews (all our developers participate in code reviews).
- Participate in design and architecture reviews.
- Troubleshooting issues and identifying potential improvements.
In this role, there is a lot of room to own topics that cut across the Development and Operations spectrum, from the improvement of monitoring across 20 node.js services to automation of common service requirements including custom horizontal pod autoscaling to centralized cluster control components.
Your Skills 💡
You are a confident, logical, and methodical professional with experience in the following technologies:
- Clean code and CI ensured: eslint, prettier, husky, gitlabci, docker, strict MR workflow, automated versioning
- Adaptive streaming expertise (HLS/DASH): ffprobe, ffmpeg
- CD pipeline ensured: with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform+Helm, Gitlab
- MongoDB, Redis, Victoria Metrics
You also have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in video streaming technologies
- Strong customer service orientation
- Teamplayer attitude
- Ability to work inside an international team.
