At Equip, we recognize that both historically and at present, eating disorder research and treatment has been disproportionately focused on underweight, white/caucasian, young cis-women. This does not acknowledge that eating disorders affect all ages, all gender identities, all income levels, all body sizes, and all families. Equip is on a mission to make sure that everyone has access to evidence based treatments. At Equip we seek to serve those that have been historically ignored--treating patients of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, body sizes, sexual orientation, ages, with a range of comorbid diagnoses and from all communities. As such, we want to recruit a team as diverse as the patients and families we serve. We welcome applicants who have been historically underrepresented in the eating disorder treatment community. If you choose, you can also tell us if you self-identify with a historically underrepresented group and/or about work or personal experience you’ve had serving underserved/underrepresented populations.✱
