What is this role:
- MUST have graduated and have hands-on experience with robotic vehicle project outside of collage
- Must be local or willing to relocate
- Develop, maintain and test flight-code in multiple simulation environment
- Develop and maintain E-Space satellite simulations
- Develop tools for analyzing simulation and hardware data in real-time and in post-processing settings
- Interface with software engineers to integrate and test controls and estimation software
- Own all aspects of controls software development, including autocoding, testing, hardware-in-theloop simulations, mission integration and operation
- Improve and follow software configuration management and code development and integration processes
- Interact cross-functionally with other subsystem engineers, providing support as needed
- Participate, present and prepare documentation for engineering reviews
What you bring to the role:
- • BS +5 years / MS +2 year in Software, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent field of study
- At least 1 year of professional experience in software development in C, C++, Python and Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with autocoding from Matlab/Simulink
- Experience in object-oriented programming methodology and multi-layer system architectures
- Experience in implementing and testing Kalman filters, linear and non-linear controllers
- Knowledge of PID, optimal controllers and state estimation
- Knowledge of 6DOF simulations
- Knowledge of spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
- Knowledge of software testing procedures and test case design, including experience in designing fault tolerant software
- Experience with Git and Linux
Bonus Points:
- Hands-on experience with building and debugging complex software
- Experience with spacecraft GNC hardware/software, including design and testing processes
- Experience in writing autonomy software for space/aerial/ground vehicles
- Experience developing visualization and graphics engines
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
$50,000 - $160,000 a year
The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question, which is based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
