We are looking for a Director - Regulatory and Market Access for the Asia Pacific Region that will manage a robust portfolio of countries to expand our ability at E-SPACE to provision services across the world in an ever-changing regulatory and political landscape. 

This role is eligible for remote work from any of the countries in the South East Asian in the APAC region.


    • For each country within your region assigned you will be required to: 
    • Represent and promote E-Space to national administrations, regulators, legislatures, and regional organizations 
    • Develop a comprehensive and accurate understanding of market access requirements and timelines and report internally 
    • Obtain approvals that maximize our ability to operate within countries’ regulatory structures. 
    • Assist in driving the schedule for initial market access and rapid growth of operations 
    • Obtain authorization to operate by applying for and obtaining necessary licenses and approvals, including the preparation of applications/information submittals and coordination of necessary internal inputs and reviews 
    • Work collaboratively across the company with other business units to achieve E-Space objectives 
    • Ensure on-going compliance with national policies and market access conditions, particularly with respect to use of radio frequency spectrum 
    • Assist with the key function of license management and timely license fee payments as required to maintain and obtain new authorizations, as required 
    • Advocate and negotiate to optimize prospective regulatory frameworks and policy environments that align with business objectives 
    • Maintain and expand relationships with stakeholders in the region. 

Required Qualifications

    • Regulatory experience with telecoms authorities and knowledge of regulatory environment in the Asia Pacific region and associated countries
    • Ability to gather and analyze licensing and regulatory information and communicate such internally 
    • Organized and able to appropriately manage license application, renewal and fee timelines 
    • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking coupled with negotiating skills to find new ways of doing things 
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, diplomacy and cultural awareness 
    • Pro-active initiative, self-confidence and personal drive 
    • Strong people skills and ability to work well in a team 
    • Must be computer-literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) 
    • Availability to travel up to 50%, including at short notice 
    • Fluent in written and spoken English

Desired Qualifications

    • Familiarity with regulatory/licensing issues in the satellite industry 
    • ITU and spectrum engineering experience 
    • Previous work experience with regulators in Asia 
    • Fluency in language(s) in region
