The RAN Architect will drive the architecture and requirements for 5G RAN SW. The ideal candidate has a significant level of relevant experience in RAN, specifically3GPP NR L2, Scheduler and L1/PHY integrations.
This position will report to the Vice President of 5G Architecture and will work closely with Engineering and Satellite Platform teams.  The ideal candidate will be available to work out of our Los Gatos, CA offices most of the time.

Key Responsibilities

    • 5G NR L2 protocols and procedures (MAC/RLC/PDCP/SDAP)
    • L2 Scheduling and optimization
    • Knowledge of 3GPP R16/R17 standards as applicable for NTN evolution
    • Integration with L1/PHY
    • Producing functional specifications, call flows, RAN performance and capacity engineering
    • Work with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and fixes

    • Major in Computer Science or Electronics
    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in line with job responsibilities
    • Experience working with RAN solution providers as a system architect/system engineer 

Other Requirements

    • Experienced in Agile development, JIRA, Virtualization
    • Ability to drive engineering teams for feature implementation to bring high-quality products to market on time
    • Experience with leading RAN solution providers and ISVs
    • Knowledge or background in SATCOM/NTN
    • Experience working in a startup environment with geographically disperse teams
